Man’s Being, His Destiny, and World-Evolution by Rudolf Steiner, titled The Human Being, His Destiny, and World Evolution on the cover.
New York: Anthroposophical Press, 1952.
A collection of six lectures delivered in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway, from May 16–21, 1923. Translated from the original by Erna McArthur, Ph.D.
The work explores Steiner’s teachings on human nature, spiritual development, destiny, and the evolution of humanity and the cosmos.
A particularly interesting theme is the significance of sleep and dreams. He describes sleep as a state in which the soul’s relationship to the spiritual world changes, and examines how our experiences during sleep relate to consciousness, moral development, karma, and life beyond death. He also discusses the relationship between thinking, feeling, and willing, offering a distinctive anthroposophical perspective on the inner life of the human being.
Blue hardcover with gold lettering.
