Leipzig: Pansophie-Verlag, 1925

The "Collegium Pansophicum" was founded in 1922 by Heinrich Tränker (1880-1956) and Karl Germer (1885-1962). The Pansophic movement already existed before that. The first beginnings date back to 1917; the first Pansophists were Theosophists from the I.T.V. in Leipzig. The resulting Pansophic Lodge is said to have dealt with Gnosis, ancient mysteries, Kabbalah, magic, and depth psychology. Aleister Crowley's attempts to integrate this association into his Astrum Argenteum Order failed.

Between 1923 and 1925 they published six volumes of a periodical called “Pansophia, Urquellen Inneren Lebens” (‘Pansophia, primal sources of inner life’). The third volume of which contains material of the Gold- und Rosenkreuzer.

The author / compiler of this work went to different Masonic archives to gather material of the Gold- und Rosenkreuzer.

The Golden and Rosy Cross was first written about by Samuel Richter ('Sincerus Rinatus') in Breslau in 1710. Hermann Fictuld was one of the leaders of the Order of the Golden and Rosy Cross, whose origins he traced to the Order of the Golden Fleece. Fictuld led an extensive reform in the organization in the 1760s and 1770s.

Even though the order was not founded by Freemasons, it was initially intended to be a system for ‘higher degrees’, so only Master Masons could apply.
